 | One of the more difficult to find mugs for the divorce. Standing 90mm/3 ½” with gilded rim. On the front are sepia photographs of the couple in separate oval beaded frames. Instead of the usual acanthus leaf decoration their portraits are draped with the flower known as “Love lies bleeding” The date’s 1981 and 1996 are above and below the transfer. On the reverse is the motto “A vinculo Matrimonii” with the Princes plume below – drooping! Underneath is the inscription “Where there is marriage without love there will be love without marriage” The base of the mug carries all the dates relevant to the divorce. |
