| During the months of May & June 1939, HM King George VI and Queen Elizabeth visited the US and Canada, the first visit by a reigning monarch. This is a good example of a commorative for the visit.
The King and Queen are in a heart shaped frame with the Capitol building, Washington and the Ottawa building in the background. A full commemorative inscription appears on the reverse of this very attractive plate. |  |
